Application of Baculovirus Expression Vector System (BEVS) in Vaccine Development

Vaccination is one of the most effective strategies to control epidemics. With deepening people’s awareness vaccination, there a high demand for vaccination. Hence, flexible, rapid, and cost-effective vaccine platform urgently needed. The baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS) has emerged as promising technology production due its safety, rapid production, flexible product design, scalability. In this review, we introduced development history BEVS procedures preparing recombinant protein vaccines using summarized features limitations platform. Furthermore, highlighted progress platform-related research, especially in field vaccine. Finally, provided new prospect future manufacturing, which may pave way BEVS-derived development.
